dress rehearsals for line dancing

for the dress rehearsals we all had to wear something that made you look like your from the countryside and which will suite the line dancing, we had to wear stuff like a cheque shirt, blue jeans and boots, hat and a handkerchief. when the day came when we all dressed up we all looked amazing but even better when we done our line dancing

Practising steps for line dancing

first of all we were set a homework task, to research line dancing and to find some images of people line dancing. We also had to learn the steps we had researched after we talked about them in class with our lovely media teachers. we all had to learn a step and practice it in class so that we could teach the others in our class and see what steps we could add to our line dancing. the move i chose is called foot boogie here is the website of how anyone can learn how to line dance.

Line dancing evaluation 31/01/12

Evaluation of my performance.
Line dancing.

Some bad things aboutmy performance on line dancing that can be improved, as I needed to be more energetic and need to put more effort in each steps. When we was dancing outside at the back of the media block I was not concentrating as much on the steps that’s why I kind of messed up and skipped some steps as everyone was ahead of me because I was slow. One other thing I need to improve on to get a higher grade I need to make my steps bigger.

Some good things about my performance on line dancing was that my time keeping was good as I was on the right time as others on each steps. As I messed up a little bit outside I improved when we was dancing inside in the drama studio because I knew my steps and I knew what was coming next. I also felt confident at the end. I was happy with my costume as I had my cowboy hat and you need the hat for one of the moves.

Line Dancing Lesson 1

In this lesson we had Mr.Chapman and he taught us some line dancing moves we also chose a song to dance on and the song we chose was beat it by Micheal Jackson it suited our dance because it had loads of beats in the song. As we found some of the steps quite hard because it was our first time doing line dance so we had to keep repeating each step to get the hand of it. The difficult bit of the dance was when we had to do the tapping your heels because i got confused with what foot to put first and how many times we had to do it. Sir taught us two moves, one was tapping our heels and jumping the other was moving our hips side to side. Ill probably say that the hip move was the easiest to do.

Media room 2

in last lesson on tuesday which was on week 2 we practiced dance moves and we thought we was going to perform our dance in an assembly. we practiced this for the whole lesson we tried different arrangements and routines like trying out the boys at the back and the girls at the front the we swap we also tried putting the tall people at the back and the smaller people at the front. our teacher was very pleased with our ideas because while we was practicing we was coming up with loads of ideas and trying it out and if it was good she said we will perform it to others in the assembly.

Overall i thought this lesson was fun this is because we all gave our ideas in and listened to each other we also worked as a team and tried the dance moves together that everyone in the lesson thought of.
